Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds Saga is DEFINITELY better, especially when you get its expansion, Clone Campaigns. It may look like a Star War version of Age of Empires II: Age of Kings and its expansion, Conquerors, but is a totally different game from those two. It features the same exact kind of gameplay with different kinds of units (more Star War-ish if I may). Generally, it features more long-ranged battles than AOE II, which featured mostly hand-to-hand combat skirmishes. It also features ground and sea units just like AOE II, but it introduces a whole new field: the air! In SWGB, you can create air units, so you can attack or defend from land, sea, or air. And it also features cool stuff like shield generators, anti-air turrets, and the like. Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds (and its expansion) is classified as a Real-time Strategy Game, meaning that there are no turns. Everything happens at the same time and you've got be quick.
